Today we took our students to Seahouses, we went fishing for Mackerel which we cooked at Beadnell Beach afterwards.
Here is the first of our beetroot which we wrapped in foil and cooked on the BBQ coals - delicious!
We aim to develop our school garden to educate our students about where their food comes from, and to promote sustainable ways of producing food. Our students are given the opportunity to gain knowledge, expertise and life skills through hands-on, skills based learning. The work we do with out students in the garden is a vital vehicle which our staff use to build relationships, deliver nurture sessions and re-engage our students who at times can experience barriers to their learning.
