The EPICC Garden Project

We aim to develop our school garden to educate our students about where their food comes from, and to promote sustainable ways of producing food. Our students are given the opportunity to gain knowledge, expertise and life skills through hands-on, skills based learning. The work we do with out students in the garden is a vital vehicle which our staff use to build relationships, deliver nurture sessions and re-engage our students who at times can experience barriers to their learning.

Decorating the tree

Making some decorations for the tree. Sarah from the RHS brought some raw materials and instructions. The students cut a log into slices about 1.5 - 2 cms think. Drilled holes in and then threaded cord into the holes to make a pattern.
